This page sets out how to raise a grievance about content published on jajeertimes.com, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What you can complain about

  • Content you believe breaches our Content Policy or Indian law.
  • Content that you believe defames you, infringes your intellectual property or invades your privacy.
  • A story being mistaken for genuine news.
  • The handling of your personal data.
  • An advertisement shown on the Site.

How to file a grievance

Email the Grievance Officer with:

  1. your name and contact details;
  2. the link (URL) to the content concerned;
  3. a description of your complaint and why you believe the content is objectionable or unlawful;
  4. where relevant, proof of your identity or of your rights in the material (for example, for copyright complaints);
  5. a statement that the information in your complaint is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

What happens next

  • We will acknowledge your grievance within 24 hours of receipt.
  • We will review it and communicate our decision within 15 days.
  • Where we agree that content breaches our policies or the law, we will edit, add context to, or remove it.

Appeals

If you are not satisfied with our decision, you may write again to editor@jajeertimes.com with the subject line "Appeal" and your original reference, and the matter will be reviewed by our editorial board. You may also pursue any remedy available to you under applicable law, including complaints relating to personal data before the Data Protection Board of India.
